Pavement Evaluation on Highway 101 in Prunedale for Four Nights
  PRUNEDALE – Work crews will begin an overnight project to perform a pavement evaluation on Hwy. 101 between Russell/Espinoza Road and the San Benito County line beginning this Sunday, Caltrans officials announced today.
   
Salinas Rd and Hwy 1 Interchange Project Receives Bond State Funding 02-28-07
  Construction of a new interchange at the intersection of Highway 1 and Salinas Road will now be fully funded due to today’s vote by the California Transportation Commission to earmark the total construction cost of $37.061 million of Infrastructure Bond Funds toward the project—$11 million more than what was previously recommended last week by Commission staff.   MONTEREY COUNTY
- Highway 1 northbound traffic will be delayed from Ragged Point to Monterey from
8:00 am to 2:30 pm.
Alternate Route: Use US 101 between San Luis Obispo and Monterey.

- Highway 1 southbound will experience extreme delays of up to 4 hours from Rio Rd. (Monterey) to Ragged Point from 10:00 am to 2:30 pm.

Highway 1 Drainage Project Scheduled Along Big Sur Coast 02/14/07
  MONTEREY COUNTY – A drainage culvert will be replaced along Hwy. 1 between the Bixby Creek Bridge and the Rocky Creek Bridge beginning Thursday, Feb. 15. A second culvert will also be installed south of the Garrapata Creek Bridge. Work on these projects will take place Monday through Friday from 7 am to 5 pm. [view]
   
*UPDATE* Retaining Wall Work Continues on Highway 1 Near Lucia 02/14/07
  MONTEREY COUNTY – A project to install a 520 foot long retaining wall is proceeding along Hwy. 1, from one mile north of the Limekiln Creek Bridge to one mile south of the town of Lucia. One lane of the highway is closed and a temporary traffic signal will allow motorists to proceed on an alternating basis until the Memorial Day weekend. [view]
   
Repaving on Highway 101 at East Market Street in Salinas For Five Nights 02/01/07

Daytime work on highway 101 in Salinas area to begin 01/08/07
  MONTEREY COUNTY – Work crews have been working on a project to resurface Hwy. 101 at various locations from Sanborn Road to Echo Valley Road. The daytime work on this project will begin on Monday, January 8. [view]
