Passenger Rail in the Plan

The Transportation Investement Plan will:

•	Improve access to and from Monterey, Salinas, San Jose and San Francisco.
•
•	Provide an alternative to traffic congestion and reduce commuter stress.
•
•	Expand transportation options for all Monterey County residents.

Caltrain Extension to Monterey County project: The Transportation Agency for Monterey County will soon circulate a Draft Environmental Impact Report for public comment.
