Phase 1 – Davis Road Widening Project Schedule

The project will address the high volume and congestion between the Monterey Peninsula cities and the Salinas Valley and will be constructed in phases. The first phase will widen Davis Road to 4 lanes from Blanco south to Reservation Road, including construction of a new 4-lane bridge across the Salinas River. Construction of this phase is anticipated to begin in 2009. The next phases are unfunded and have yet to start the environmental processes. They widening of Reservation to 4 lanes from Davis Road to connect with the existing 4 lanes near East Garrison. Future phases also includes widening Imjin Parkway to 4 lanes from Reservation Road the existing 4 lane section at Imjin Road and reconstructing the interchange at Highway 1 and Imjin Parkway to handle the additional traffic.
