The Transportation Agency for Monterey County helps pay for commuter buses run by Monterey-Salinas Transit (MST) to get people to their jobs. The Transportation Agency partnered with MST to start and improve commuter bus service between Salinas and Gilroy, and Salinas and King City. |

 The Transportation Agency for Monterey County provides pass-through funding, according to a population- based formula, for public transit services as provided by Monterey- Salinas Transit, in addition to city operated transit services in Gonzales, Greenfield, Soledad and King City. The Transportation Agency also conducts public hearings each year regarding Unmet Public Transit Needs in Monterey County, as required by the California Transportation Development Act. |
