Salinas, CA (April 26, 2018) — The Transportation Agency for Monterey County (TAMC) announced that the City of Gonzales will celebrate a ribbon cutting ceremony for their Measure X “Alta Street Pavement Rehabilitation Project” at 11:00, tomorrow, Tuesday, May 1, 2018. The celebration will take place under the arch at Fourth and Alta Street, Gonzales.
This is the second major Measure X project completed in South Monterey County. The $5.2 million Alta Street Pavement Rehabilitation Project is the largest capital improvement project in the City of Gonzales in 25 years. With an advancement of Measure X funds from the Transportation Agency, the City of Gonzales could begin construction on November 30, 2017. Without Measure X the project would have been delayed by several years. Completion will be celebrated tomorrow with the ribbon cutting ceremony.
