TAMC CONE ZONE REPORT                                  

ROAD AND LANE CLOSURES SCHEDULED FOR JAN.6 – JAN. 12

MONTEREY COUNTY – Here are the major scheduled road and lane closures for Monterey County from Sunday, January 6 through Saturday, January 12 – newest information is in red. Please keep in mind that construction work is weather-dependent.

Highway 1 Carmel River Bridge – Santa Cruz County Line: Jan. 10 – Jan. 11
Moving lane closures will occur on Highway 1 between the Carmel River Bridge and the Santa Cruz County for vegetation spraying from 9 am. to 2 p.m.

Highway 68 – Corral de Tierra Road: January 7 – January 12
Night time one-way traffic controls will be in place at Highway 68 and Corral de Tierra Road from 8:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. for gas line work.

Highway 68 – Salinas River: January 7 – January 11
There will be alternating lane and ramp closures on eastbound and westbound Highway 68 between Spreckles Blvd and Reservation Road for bridge work. The work will occur from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

There will be alternating night time lane and on ramp closures on eastbound and westbound Highway 68 between Spreckles Blvd and Reservation Road for bridge work. The work will occur from 7 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.

Highway 101 Greenfield – San Benito County Line: Jan. 7 – Jan. 11
Moving lane closures will occur on Highway 101 between Underwood Road in Greenfield to the San Benito County Line for vegetation spraying from 9:00 am. to 2:30 p.m.

Reservation Road: Watkins Gate – East Garrison: January 7- January 10
Temporary traffic control measures will be in place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Reservation Road at the Watkins Gate at East Garrison for signal construction work by the Monterey County Resource Management Agency Public Works Department.

Although all lanes will be open to traffic, motorists should expect delays; and are advised to use alternate routes such as Blanco Road and Davis Road.

The new signal will be activated at 10:00 a.m. on January 10, 2019 and Watkins Gate Road will also be opened for public use.
