TAMC CONE ZONE REPORT

ROAD AND LANE CLOSURES SCHEDULED FOR June 9 – June 15 

MONTEREY COUNTY – Here are the major scheduled road and lane closures for Monterey County from Sunday, June 9 through Saturday, June 15 – newest information is in red. Please keep in mind that construction work is weather-dependent.

Highway 1: Anderson Canyon Bridge – Pfeiffer Burns State Park, Big Sur: June 10 – June 14
One-way traffic controls will be in place on northbound and southbound Highway 1 between Anderson Canyon Bridge and Pfeiffer Burns State Park in Big Sur for emergency repair work from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Highway 1: Garrapata Ridge Road – Garrapata Creek Bridge, Big Sur: June 11
One – way traffic controls will be in place on northbound and southbound Highway 1 between Garrapata Ridge Road to Garrapata Creek Bridge in Big Sur for tree work, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Highway 1: Hurricane Point, Big Sur – San Luis Obispo County Line: June 10 – June 12
One – way traffic controls will be in place on northbound and southbound Highway 1  between Hurricane Point in Big Sur and the San Luis Obispo County Line for utility work,  Monday & Tuesday, 5:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.; Wednesday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Highway 101: Camp Roberts  – East Garrison: June 10 – June 14
Alternating lane closures will occur along southbound Highway 101 between Camp Roberts and East Garrison for roadway excavation work from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

101: Wild Horse Road – First Street, King City:  June 12 – June 14
Intermittent ramp and lane closures will occur along northbound and southbound Highway 101 between Wild Horse Road and First Street for paving work from 2:00 am. to 4:30 p.m.

Highway 101: East Market Street – Little Bear Creek Bridge, Salinas: June 9 – June 12
Nighttime lane closures will occur along northbound and southbound Highway 101 between East Market Street and Little Bear Creek Bridge in Salinas for paving work on the roadway and ramps from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. this week, Sunday – Tuesday (into Wednesday morning).

Highway 101: Mallory Canyon Road – Moro Road, Prunedale: June 8 – June 9
One-night time lane closure will occur along southbound Highway 101 between Mallory Canyon Road and Moro Road in Prunedale on Saturday for utility from 10:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.

US Open: Pebble Beach, Monterey County: June 10 – June 17
For the week of Monday, June 10 through June 16, local residents and through traffic are encouraged to adjust travel around peak arrival and departure times (7-11 a.m. and 3:30-7:30 p.m.) if possible for the 119th US Open Golf Tournament at Pebble Beach.

There will be no left turn out of Castroville Blvd. onto eastbound Hwy. 156 from Wednesday, June 12 at 10 am through Monday, June 17 at 10 am. For local residents and commuters, there will be a detour to turn right from Castroville Blvd. onto westbound Hwy. 156. Traffic will exit at SR-183/Merritt Street then make a left at Merritt Street and a left turn back onto eastbound Hwy 156.

Local residents and area commuters from the Salinas Valley are encouraged to follow alternate routing and signage to General Jim Moore Boulevard, avoiding CSUMB and CA-1.

Due to U.S. Open traffic, delays can be expected along the primary routes of CA-1 from Exit 399A (Pebble Beach) to Exit 414 (Nashua/Molera Road). Monterey and Pacific Grove commuters should avoid the use of Exit 399A and CA-68 during peak times.

Del Monte Avenue, Marina: June 10 – June 14
The right turn lane on northbound Del Monte Blvd, just south of Reservation Road will be closed Monday – Friday for construction work, from 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
