TAMC CONE ZONE REPORT

ROAD AND LANE CLOSURES SCHEDULED FOR October 20 – October 26

 

MONTEREY COUNTY – Here are the major scheduled road and lane closures for Monterey County from Sunday, October 20 through Saturday, October 26 – newest information is in red. Please keep in mind that construction work is weather-dependent.

Highway 1: San Luis Obispo County Line – Lime Creek Bridge: October 21 – October 24
One lane closure will occur along southbound and northbound Highway 1 between the San Luis Obispo County Line and Lime Creek Bridge for paving work from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Highway 1: Bixby Creek Bridge – Hurricane Point: October 21 – 25
One-way traffic controls will be in place on northbound and southbound Highway 1 between Bixby Creek Bridge and Hurricane Point for shoulder and grinding work along the highway from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Highway 1: Soledad Avenue: October 24
One lane closure will occur along southbound Highway 1 at Soledad Avenue in Monterey for signage  work from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Highway 68: Piedmont Avenue to State Route 1 (Pacific Grove to Monterey): Oct. 20 – Oct. 25                                                                                                                                                                One-way traffic controls will be in place along eastbound and westbound Highway 68 between Piedmont Avenue and State Route 1 for drainage work from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Highway 101: Echo Valley Road – Dunbarton Road (South): October 23 – October 24
One lane closure will occur along northbound Highway 101 between Echo Valley Road and Dunbarton Road (South) for tree trimming work from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Highway 101: Alta Street/Old Stage Road – Little Bear Creek Bridge, Salinas: Oct. 20 – Oct. 25
Nighttime lane closures (including median and shoulders) will occur along northbound and southbound Highway 101, between  Alta Street/Old Stage Road and Little Bear Creek Bridge in Salinas for paving work on the roadway and ramps from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Highway 101: Camp Roberts: Now – November 22
One long-term lane closure will occur along northbound and southbound Highway 101 at Camp Roberts for pavement from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Highway 101: Camp Roberts: Now – November 29
One long-term off/on-ramp closure will occur along southbound Highway 101 at Camp Roberts for paving work from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Highway 101: San Ardo – San Lucas: Now – December 31
One long-term lane closure will occur along northbound and southbound Highway 101 between the Paris Valley Road overcrossing and the Rancho undercrossing for grinding and paving work.

Highway 101: Wild Horse – First Street, King City: Now – January 2020
One long-term lane closure will occur along northbound and southbound Highway 101 between Wild Horse Road and First Street for roadway excavation work from 5 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Highway 183: Davis Road – Market Circle: October 21 – October 25
One lane closure will occur along northbound Highway 183 (Market Street) between Davis Road and Market Circle for pavement repair work from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Highway 183: Villa Street – Clark Street: October 21
One lane closure will occur along southbound Highway 183 between Villa Street and Clark Street for daytime utility work from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Caltrans and the CHP reminds motorists to drive safely through work construction zones. Motorists are also reminded to drive safely through any possible temporary power outages in high risk areas. When approaching an intersection which has official traffic control signals that are inoperative, motorists must stop at the intersection and may proceed with caution when safe to do so.
