TAMC CONE ZONE REPORT

ROAD AND LANE CLOSURES SCHEDULED FOR October 27 – November 2 

MONTEREY COUNTY – Here are the major scheduled road and lane closures for Monterey County from Sunday, October 27 through Saturday, November 2 – newest information is in red. Please keep in mind that construction work is weather-dependent.

Highway 1: Bixby Creek Bridge – Hurricane Point: October 28 – October 29
One-way traffic controls will be in place on northbound and southbound Highway 1 between Bixby Creek Bridge and Hurricane Point for nighttime paving work along the highway from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m.

Highway 1: Bixby Creek Bridge – Hurricane Point: October 29 – November 1
One-way traffic controls will be in place on northbound and southbound Highway 1 between Bixby Creek Bridge and Hurricane Point for survey work along the highway from 6:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Highway 1: Highlands Drive – Fern Canyon Corona Road: October 29 – November 1
One-way traffic controls will be in place on northbound and southbound Highway 1 between Highland Drive and Fern Canyon Corona Road for emergency work along the highway from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Highway 68: Piedmont Avenue to State Route 1 (Pacific Grove to Monterey): Oct. – Nov.1  One-way traffic controls will be in place along eastbound and westbound Highway 68 between Piedmont Avenue and State Route 1 for drainage work from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Highway 68: Quail Ridge Lane – Toro Park: October 30 – November 3                                     One-way traffic controls will be in place along eastbound and westbound Highway 68 between Quail Ridge Lane and Toro Park for nighttime utility work from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Highway 101: Boronda Road – Sanborn Road: October 28 – October 31
One nighttime lane closure will occur along northbound Highway 101 between Boronda Road and Sanborn Road for utility work from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Highway 101: Alta Street/Old Stage Road – Little Bear Creek Bridge, Salinas: Oct. 27 – November 1
Nighttime lane closures (including median and shoulders) will occur along northbound and southbound Highway 101, between  Alta Street/Old Stage Road and Little Bear Creek Bridge in Salinas for paving work on the roadway and ramps from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Highway 101: Camp Roberts: Now – November 22
One long-term lane closure will occur along northbound and southbound Highway 101 at Camp Roberts for pavement from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Highway 101: Camp Roberts: Now – November 29
One long-term off/on-ramp closure will occur along southbound Highway 101 at Camp Roberts for paving work from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Highway 101: San Ardo – San Lucas: Now – December 31
One long-term lane closure will occur along northbound and southbound Highway 101 between the Paris Valley Road overcrossing and the Rancho undercrossing for grinding and paving work.

Highway 101: Wild Horse – First Street, King City: Now – January 2020
One long-term lane closure will occur along northbound and southbound Highway 101 between Wild Horse Road and First Street for roadway excavation work from 5 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Highway 183: Davis Road – Market Circle: October 28 – November 1
One lane closure will occur along northbound Highway 183 (Market Street) between Davis Road and Market Circle for pavement repair work from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Caltrans and the CHP reminds motorists to drive safely through work construction zones. Motorists are also reminded to drive safely through any possible temporary power outages in high risk areas. When approaching an intersection which has official traffic control signals that are inoperative, motorists must stop at the intersection and may proceed with caution when safe to do so.
