MONTEREY COUNTY – The Transportation Agency for Monterey County (TAMC) announced that this is the final week to walk or bike for a chance to win prizes in the “2nd Annual Go831 Bike/Walk Challenge.” The challenge which began on May 1 will end on Friday, May 31, 2019. Any participant of the challenge who chooses to walk or bike to work, shopping and for health during the month of May are eligible to win prizes.
The top three winners in the individual and employer categories will be announced in June. Winners are the participants who took the greatest number of walking and bicycling trips, and employers whose employees had the greatest number of combine trips.
The Bike Walk Challenge is an activity of the Go831 program provided through the Transportation Agency for Monterey County. Go831 is a free benefit for commuters and employers powered by advanced technology that helps commuters find money-saving, stress-reducing alternatives to driving alone, and helps employers establish or improve smart commute programs.
