Monterey Herald-“TAMC Board Adopts Tax Measure Ordinance, Will Ask Supervisors to Place on Fall Ballot”

Formally adopting a proposed 30-year, $600 million transportation sales tax ordinance on Wednesday, the Transportation Agency for Monterey County board will seek approval from the Board of Supervisors next month to place the 3/8-cent tax measure on the ballot.

Shortly after receiving the latest polling results showing the tax measure still hovering around the required two-thirds voter approval threshold, the board agreed to authorize TAMC executive director Debbie Hale to request the supervisors add the measure to the Nov. 8 general presidential election ballot.
