MONTEREY COUNTY –The Transportation Agency for Monterey County (TAMC) wants your ideas about new train service on the Central Coast! TAMC published a Passenger Rail Public Survey to get your input.
Community members are encouraged to provide feedback and opinions regarding potential new train service throughout the Monterey Bay Area and the rest of the Central Coast. The survey, which is open through September 15, 2020, is designed to take approximately 5 minutes. The link to the survey is provided here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/tamcrail. The survey is available in English and Spanish.
The survey supports the development of the Monterey Bay Area Rail Network Integration Study, which is currently being drafted by TAMC. This study will lay the foundation for the implementation of new transit opportunities and passenger rail service in the region, connecting residents throughout the Monterey Bay Area and the Central Coast, and providing connections to the San Francisco Bay Area and the Los Angeles Basin. A draft of the study is anticipated to be published in winter 2020.
