BikeSAFE Trainings

Interested in learning how to ride your bicycle safely, comfortably and predictably? The Transportation Agency for Monterey County, in collaboration with the California State University Monterey Bay hosts free bicycle safety trainings. Participants learn how to conduct bicycle safety checks, fix a flat tire, and practice their on-road bike skills.

To participate:

  1. Complete the registration form here
  2. Before attending the training, complete the online safety course at: BikeEd.org
  3. Bring your helmet and bike to a free training near you!

Help others in your community bike safely:

The BikeSAFE trainings are the first step to becoming a League Certified Intructor (LCI). LCIs are certified trainers that can lead bicycle safety classes. LCIs teach children and adults how to ride their bikes safely and legally.
