TAMC CONE ZONE REPORT

ROAD AND LANE CLOSURES SCHEDULED FOR November 10 – November 16 

MONTEREY COUNTY – Here are the major scheduled road and lane closures for Monterey County from Sunday, November 10 through Saturday, November 16 – newest information is in red. Please keep in mind that construction work is weather-dependent.

Highway 1: Highway 1 – Lime Creek Bridge: November 12 – November 15
One-way traffic controls will be in place on northbound and southbound Highway 1 between the Monterey County Line and Lime Creek Bridge for paving work along the highway from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Highway 1: Molera Park Entrance/Coast Road: November 12 – November 15
One-way traffic controls will be in place on northbound and southbound Highway 1 at the Molera Park Entrance/Coast Road for paving work from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Highway 1: Big Creek Bridge: November 12 – November 15
One-way traffic controls will be in place on northbound and southbound Highway 1 at Big Creek Bridge for bridge work from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., Tuesday – Thursday; and 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday.

Highway 1: Bixby Creek Bridge – Hurricane Point: November 12 – November 15
One-way traffic controls will be in place on northbound and southbound Highway 1 between Bixby Creek Bridge and Hurricane Point for paving and road work along the highway from 6 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Highway 1: Highland Drive – San Jose Creek Bridge: November 11 – November 15
One-way traffic controls will be in place on northbound and southbound Highway 1 between Highland Drive and San Jose Creek Bridge for emergency road repair work from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday – Thursday. Work hours on Friday will be from 7:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Highway 1: Handley Drive – Carpenter Street: November 13 – November 15
One lane closure will occur along southbound Highway 1 between Handley Drive and Carpenter Street for nighttime tree work on Wednesday and Thursday from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Highway 1: Del Monte Avenue – Casa Verde Way, Monterey: November 10
The off-ramps on southbound Highway 1 between Del Monte Avenue and Casa Verde Way will be closed for a special event from 4 a.m. to 9 a.m.

Highway 68: Piedmont Avenue – State Route 1 (Pacific Grove to Monterey): Nov. 12 – Nov. 15
One-way traffic controls will be in place along eastbound and westbound Highway 68 between Piedmont Avenue and State Route 1 for drainage work along the highway from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Highway 101: Airport Boulevard, Salinas: November 13 – 17
One lane closure will occur on Airport Boulevard near the on/off ramps of Highway 101 for nighttime striping work from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Highway 101: Alta Street/Old Stage Road – Little Bear Creek Bridge, Salinas: Nov. 10 – Nov. 15
Nighttime lane closures (including median and shoulders) will occur along northbound and southbound Highway 101, between  Alta Street/Old Stage Road and Little Bear Creek Bridge in Salinas for paving work on the roadway and ramps from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Highway 101: Camp Roberts: Now – November 22
One long-term lane closure will occur along northbound and southbound Highway 101 at Camp Roberts for pavement from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Highway 101: North San Miguel – Camp Roberts: Now – November 29
One long-term off/on-ramp closure and lane closure will occur along northbound and southbound Highway 101 between North San Miguel and Camp Roberts for paving work from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Highway 101: San Ardo – San Lucas: Now – December 31
One long-term lane closure will occur along northbound and southbound Highway 101 between the Paris Valley Road overcrossing and the Rancho undercrossing for grinding and paving work.

Highway 101: Wild Horse – First Street, King City: Now – January 2020
One long-term lane closure will occur along northbound and southbound Highway 101 between Wild Horse Road and First Street for roadway excavation work from 5 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Cathedral Oaks Road, Prunedale: Now  – November 22
Road repair work will occur on Cathedral Oaks from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Although both entrances to Oak Hills will remain open, outbound motorists will need to exit on Oak Hill Road to access Highway 156 during construction hours.

Pescadero Road, Carmel: Now  – November 22
Road repair work will occur on Pescadero Road from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Motorists will be detoured through Delores Street and Castro Lane during construction hours.

Caltrans and the CHP reminds motorists to drive safely through work construction zones. Motorists are also reminded to drive safely through any possible temporary power outages in high risk areas. When approaching an intersection which has official traffic control signals that are inoperative, motorists must stop at the intersection and may proceed with caution when safe to do so.
