TAMC CONE ZONE REPORT

ROAD AND LANE CLOSURES SCHEDULED FOR November 17 – November 23 

MONTEREY COUNTY – Here are the major scheduled road and lane closures for Monterey County from Sunday, November 17 through Saturday, November 23 – newest information is in red. Please keep in mind that construction work is weather-dependent.

Highway 1: Highway 1 – Gorda – Lime Creek Bridge: November 18 – November 19
One-way traffic controls will be in place on northbound and southbound Highway 1 between Gorda to  Lime Creek Bridge for drainage work along the highway from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Highway 1: Big Sur Station – Pfeiffer Canyon Bridge: November 19 – November 20
One-way traffic controls will be in place on northbound Highway 1 at the Big Sur Station and Pfeiffer Canyon Bridge for tree work from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Highway 1: Garrapata State Park: November 21
One-way traffic controls will be in place on northbound and southbound Highway 1 at Garrapata State Park for drainage work from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Highway 1: Bixby Creek Bridge – Hurricane Point: November 18 – November 20
One-way traffic controls will be in place on northbound and southbound Highway 1 between Bixby Creek Bridge and Hurricane Point for paving and road work along the highway from 6:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Highway 1: Highland Drive – San Jose Creek Bridge: November 18 – November 21
One-way traffic controls will be in place on northbound and southbound Highway 1 between Highland Drive and San Jose Creek Bridge for emergency road repair work from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Highway 68: Piedmont Avenue – State Route 1 (Pacific Grove to Monterey): Nov. 17 – Nov. 22
One-way traffic controls will be in place along eastbound and westbound Highway 68 between Piedmont Avenue and State Route 1 for drainage work along the highway from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Highway 68: Olmsted Road – Corral De Tierra Road: November 18 – November 22
One-way traffic controls will be in place along eastbound and westbound Highway 68 between Olmsted Road and Corral De Tierra Road for nighttime vegetation control along the highway from 8 p.m. to 4:30 a.m.

Highway 101: San Miguel Canyon Road: November 18 – November 20
There will be a full closure of the off-ramp at southbound Highway 101 and southbound San Miguel Canyon Road for miscellaneous work from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Highway 101: Northbound Sanborn Road: November 18 – November 22
There will be a full closure of the off-ramp at northbound Highway 101 and Sanborn Road for nighttime striping work from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m.

Highway 101: Alta Street/Old Stage Road – Little Bear Creek Bridge: Nov. 17 – Nov. 22
Nighttime lane closures (including median and shoulders) will occur along northbound and southbound Highway 101, between  Alta Street/Old Stage Road and Little Bear Creek Bridge in Salinas for paving work on the roadway and ramps from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Highway 101: Camp Roberts: Now – November 22
One long-term lane closure will occur along northbound and southbound Highway 101 at Camp Roberts for pavement from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Highway 101: North San Miguel – Camp Roberts: Now – November 29
One long-term off/on-ramp closure and lane closure will occur along northbound and southbound Highway 101 between North San Miguel and Camp Roberts for paving work from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Highway 101: San Ardo – San Lucas: Now – December 31
One long-term lane closure will occur along northbound and southbound Highway 101 between the Paris Valley Road overcrossing and the Rancho undercrossing for grinding and paving work.

Highway 101: Wild Horse – First Street, King City: Now – January 2020
One long-term lane closure will occur along northbound and southbound Highway 101 between Wild Horse Road and First Street for roadway excavation work from 5 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Highway 183: Salinas Street – Lincoln Avenue: November 18 – November 22
One lane closure will occur along westbound Highway 183 (Market Street) between Salinas Street and Lincoln Avenue for concrete sidewalk construction work from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Southbound Del Monte Avenue, Marina: November 18 – December 5
One lane closure will occur along southbound Del Monte Avenue approximately 900 feet north of Reservation Road for transmission gas line work by PG&E from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Carmel Valley Road: November 18 – November 27
Periodic lane closures may occur along Carmel Valley Road at mile post 13.62 for urgent road repairs from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. While efforts will be made to accommodate the peak travel hours in the morning and evening, commuters should anticipate 10-15 minutes. Mile post 13.62 is approximately east of the Carmel Valley Village and west of Cachagua Road.

Cathedral Oaks Road: Now  – November 22
The County of Monterey will be doing road repair work on Cathedral Oaks from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Although both entrances to Oak Hills will remain open, outbound motorists will need to exit on Oak Hill Road to access Highway 156 during construction hours.

Pescadero Road: Now  – November 22
The County of Monterey will be doing road repair work on Pescadero Road from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Motorists will be detoured through Delores Street and Castro Lane during construction hours.

Caltrans and the CHP reminds motorists to drive safely through work construction zones. Motorists are also reminded to drive safely through any possible temporary power outages in high risk areas. When approaching an intersection which has official traffic control signals that are inoperative, motorists must stop at the intersection and may proceed with caution when safe to do so.
