TAMC CONE ZONE REPORT

ROAD AND LANE CLOSURES SCHEDULED FOR November 24 – November 30 

MONTEREY COUNTY – Here are the major scheduled road and lane closures for Monterey County from Sunday, November 24 through Saturday, November 30 – newest information is in red. Please keep in mind that construction work is weather-dependent.

Highway 1: San Luis Obispo County Line – Lime Creek Bridge: November 25 – November 26
One-way traffic controls will be in place on northbound and southbound Highway 1 between the San Luis Obispo County Line to  Lime Creek Bridge for paving work along the highway from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Highway 68: Piedmont Avenue – State Route 1 (Pacific Grove to Monterey): Nov. 24 – Nov. 26
One-way traffic controls will be in place along eastbound and westbound Highway 68 between Piedmont Avenue and State Route 1 for drainage work along the highway from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Highway 101: Southbound Airport Blvd: November 24 – November 25
Due to work on the bridge there will be one lane closure on Airport Blvd. from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Highway 101: Alta Street/Old Stage Road – Little Bear Creek Bridge, Salinas: Nov. 24 – Nov. 27
Nighttime lane closures (including median and shoulders) will occur along northbound and southbound Highway 101, between  Alta Street/Old Stage Road and Little Bear Creek Bridge in Salinas for paving work on the roadway and ramps from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Highway 101: Camp Roberts: Now – November 29
One long-term lane closure will occur along northbound and southbound Highway 101 at Camp Roberts for pavement from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Highway 101: North San Miguel – Camp Roberts: Now – November 29
One long-term off/on-ramp closure and lane closure will occur along northbound and southbound Highway 101 between North San Miguel and Camp Roberts for paving work from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Highway 101: San Ardo – San Lucas: Now – December 31
One long-term lane closure will occur along northbound and southbound Highway 101 between the Paris Valley Road overcrossing and the Rancho undercrossing for grinding and paving work.

Highway 101: Wild Horse – First Street, King City: Now – January 2020
One long-term lane closure will occur along northbound and southbound Highway 101 between Wild Horse Road and First Street for roadway excavation work from 5 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Highway 183: Salinas Street – Lincoln Avenue: November 25 – November 27
One lane closure will occur along northbound Highway 183 (West Market Street) between Salinas Street and Lincoln Avenue for shoulder work from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Southbound Del Monte Avenue, Marina: November 18 – December 5
One lane closure will occur along southbound Del Monte Avenue approximately 900 feet north of Reservation Road for PG&E’s  transmission gas line work from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Carmel Valley Road: November 18 – November 27
Periodic lane closures may occur along Carmel Valley Road at mile post 13.62 for urgent road repairs from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. While efforts will be made to accommodate the peak travel hours in the morning and evening, commuters should anticipate 10-15 minutes. Mile post 13.62 is approximately east of the Carmel Valley Village and west of Cachagua Road.

Caltrans and the CHP reminds motorists to drive safely through work construction zones. Motorists are also reminded to drive safely through any possible temporary power outages in high risk areas. When approaching an intersection which has official traffic control signals that are inoperative, motorists must stop at the intersection and may proceed with caution when safe to do so.
