TAMC CONE ZONE REPORT

ROAD AND LANE CLOSURES SCHEDULED FOR January 5 –  January 11

MONTEREY COUNTY – Here are the major scheduled road and lane closures for Monterey County from Sunday, January 5 through Saturday, January 11 – newest information is in red. Please keep in mind that construction work is weather-dependent.

Highway 1: San Luis Obispo County Line – Lime Creek Bridge: January 6 – January 10
One-way traffic controls will be in place along northbound and southbound Highway 1 between the San Luis Obispo County Line and Lime Creek Bridge for paving work along the highway from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday – Friday.

Highway 1: Big Sur State Park Entrance – Fernwood: January 7 – January 9
One-way traffic controls will be in place along northbound and southbound Highway 1 between the Big Sur State Park Entrance to Fernwood for tree removal work along the highway from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Tuesday – Thursday.

Highway 1: Highland Drive – San Jose Creek Bridge: January 6 – January 10
One-way traffic controls will be in place along northbound and southbound Highway 1 between Highland Drive and the San Jose Creek Bridge for drainage work along the highway from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday – Friday.

Highway 68: Piedmont Avenue – State Route 1 (Pacific Grove to Monterey): Jan. 5 – Jan. 10
One-way traffic controls will be in place along eastbound and westbound Highway 68 between Piedmont Avenue and State Route 1 for shoulder work along the highway from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. in the evening, Sunday – Thursday.

Highway 68: Scenic Drive – Skyline Forest Drive: January 8 – January 9
One-way traffic controls will be in place along westbound Highway 68 between Scenic Drive and Skyline Forest Drive for core drilling work from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m.

Highway 101: Alta Street/Old Stage Road – Little Bear Creek Bridge, Salinas: Jan. 5 – Jan. 10
Nighttime lane closures (including median and shoulders) will occur along northbound and southbound Highway 101, between  Alta Street/Old Stage Road and Little Bear Creek Bridge in Salinas for paving work on the roadway and ramps from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.   Crews will be working in the evenings Sunday – Thursday.

Highway 101: Broadway – Jolon Road, King City: January 6 – January 10
Alternating lane closure and full on ramp closures will occur along northbound and southbound Highway 101 between Broadway and Jolon Road for bridge work from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday – Thursday and from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday.

Highway 101: Wild Horse – First Street, King City: Now – March 2020
One long-term lane closure will occur along northbound and southbound Highway 101 between Wild Horse Road and First Street for roadway excavation work from 5 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Highway 101: Monterey Road – East Garrison, San Luis Obispo County: Jan. 6 – Jan. 10
One long-term alternating lane closure will occur along northbound and southbound Highway 101 in  San Luis Obispo County between Monterey Road and East Garrison for miscellaneous road work from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.
