“TAMC SEEKS INPUT FROM SPANISH-SPEAKING COMMUNITY ON NEW PASSENGER TRAIN SERVICE IN MONTEREY COUNTY”
MONTEREY COUNTY –The Transportation Agency for Monterey County (TAMC) is seeking Latinx/Hispanic and Spanish-speaking community members to provide their input about new train service on the Central Coast!
Community members are encouraged to take a short 5 minute Passenger Rail Public Survey to provide their feedback and opinions regarding potential new train service throughout the Monterey Bay Area and the rest of the Central Coast The survey, available in Spanish and English, is open through September 15, 2020, and is available at this link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/tamcrail.
The survey supports the development of the Monterey Bay Area Rail Network Integration Study, which is currently being drafted by TAMC. This study will lay the foundation for the implementation of new transit opportunities and passenger rail service in the region, connecting residents throughout the Monterey Bay Area and the Central Coast, and providing connections to the San Francisco Bay Area and the Los Angeles Basin. A draft of the study is anticipated to be published in winter 2020.
