Draft 2026 Monterey County Regional Transportation Plan

The 2026 Monterey County Regional Transportation Plan (RTP) serves as a 24-year road map for meeting the long-term transportation needs of Monterey County. The plan establishes goals and policy objectives for meeting needs and evaluating projects, a fund estimate identifying transportation revenues expected over the life of the plan, and a list of projects to be funded within the constraints of forecasted revenues. The plan serves as the first step in acquiring federal and state funding for transportation projects.

The Draft 2026 Monterey County Regional Transportation Plan is released for public comment as of December 3rd, 2025. Comments on this document should be submitted in writing at the earliest possible date, but no later than January 31, 2026. Comments should be submitted to Ariadne Sambrano, Transportation Planner at the address listed below:

TAMC will also hold a public hearing on the Draft 2026 Regional Transportation Plan to gather public testimony on the plan. The date, time, and location of the public hearing is as follows:
