Weigh In and Tell Us Your Thoughts About Potential New Passenger Rail Service in Monterey County!

The Transportation Agency for Monterey County (TAMC) invites you to participate in our Virtual Open House to discuss the future of regional rail service in the Monterey Bay Area and Central Coast Region. We encourage you to ask questions and leave feedback throughout the documents on the site, get familiar with the study, and to take our brief five question survey. Participation in the  online posterboards will be available in the virtual open house from Monday, June 7 through Wednesday, June 24, 2021 at https://tamc-nis.konveio.com/    Additional comment can also be sent to Lukas.yanni@aecom.com from June 24 through June 30th.

The Monterey Bay Area Rail Network Integration Study focuses on determining the optimal options for: rail connectivity and operations, equipment needs, governance, and community benefits for service between Monterey County and Santa Clara County, Monterey and Santa Cruz, and the Coast Rail Corridor. It is intended to provide information for the TAMC Rail Policy Committee to consider in recommendations to the TAMC Board of Directors as to next steps on implementing rail projects in Monterey County connecting to the Central Coast and the Northern California megaregion. It will also be  the foundation for future applications for rail capital and operations grant funding.
