TAMC SEEKS PUBLIC INPUT ON DEFINING REGIONAL TRANSPORTATION PRIORITIES
MONTEREY COUNTY – The Transportation Agency of Monterey County (TAMC) is seeking public input to help define the goals, policy objectives, and performance measures of the 2022 Regional Transportation Plan. Updated every four years, the Regional Transportation Plan functions as a twenty-year road map for improvements to Monterey County’s transportation systems.
Members of the public can provide input to inform the plan by either taking a quick 5-minute online survey or by filling out a paper copy of the survey and returning it to the Transportation Agency. The online and paper surveys are available in both English and Spanish languages.
The survey is available at the following links:

- Paper surveys can be downloaded at these links:
Hard copies are also available at the TAMC office, located at 55-B Plaza Circle, Salinas. The deadline to provide public input for the Regional Transportation Plan is 5 p.m., Friday, November 29, 2019.
The long-range plan provides a basis for the allocation of state and federal transportation funds to transportation projects within the county over a long-range time frame. This 20-year plan addresses all forms of transportation, and includes the priorities and actions embodied in the plans prepared by each of the county’s 12 cities and the County of Monterey.
The Transportation Agency anticipates adoption of goals, policy objectives and performance measures in early 2020; and the draft Regional Plan is expected to be released to the public for review and comment in December 2021.
